Intensive Care Nurse - Band 5 & 6 - Coventry

Pulse Nursing is looking for skilled and experienced band 5 and 6 registered ITU (INTENSIVE CARE UNIT) nurses to join our team in Coventry.  As an ITU nurse, you’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment, working alongside healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care. We offer various shift patterns, including full-time equivalent hours in Coventry, with competitive pay ranging from £20.00 to £30.70 per hour. Intensive Care Nurse responsibilities include: • Plan, implement and evaluate care • Assist patients with their activities of daily living • Regular assessment and monitoring of patient’s vital signs • Perform different types of observations and use of different monitoring systems • Use and ensure working function of varied medical equipment such as ventilators, infusions pumps, feeding pumps, monitors • Administer medication via different routes • Care for patient receiving invasive and non-invasive ventilation • Recognize patient deterioration and timely escalation of care • Communicate effectively with members of the multidisciplinary team, patients, and relatives • Work as part of a team • Make appropriate referrals and Prepare patient for discharge or transfer • Keep accurate and timely patient records and follow local policies and procedures.   To be considered for this role you will need to have: • Valid NMC registration • At least 6 months recent UK NHS experience within the ITU Sector • Ability to provide a clinical reference as well as covering the last three years of employment. • Able to provide an enhanced DBS or documents to apply for one. • Right to work within the UK – proof will be required.   Pulse Nursing will offer you the following benefits: • Weekly Pay/Daily Payroll options • A range of payment options available: PAYE, LTD and Umbrella • Our online app ‘ipoint’ allows you to view and book shifts 24/7, helping to manage your availability, view pay rates and pay slips. • Access to additional voluntary free high-quality training and development • Free uniform • First class support and advice from a dedicated team that specialises in your area of expertise • Uncapped Recommend a Friend scheme – earn up to £500 per referral   If you feel your expertise is suited to this role, please apply today and our team will be in touch to discuss it with you in more detail.
